Wipeout can help keep your browsing history private on shared computers such as in the home, Internet café or public kiosk.

  • The Wipeout website and browser do not drop any cookies or retain any personal information about you, except your email address if you send it to us.
  • Wipeout’s pages utilise Google analytics to understand how people come to us and use our site.  This is anonymous and used at an aggregate level.  We have no idea who you are.
  • Wipeout browser deletes or does not record information about the sites you visit whilst using it. This includes cookies dropped by third party sites.
    • Deleted – New Cookies, New Temporary Internet Files, Index of  New browsing history from Index.dat, New Flash local stored objects, New Java history
    • Never recorded – Form data, New History, Entered passwords, Addresses entered into address bar, Queries entered into search box.
  • In the unlikely event of a technical issue, Wipeout will send a report of the issue to our reporting server.  This report contains no user-identifiable data; only a notification about what happened to Wipeout and what state it is in.  This helps us understand how to improve Wipeout.  However it gives us absolutely no information about who you are or what you are doing.
  • On first use of Wipeout a GUID is generated.  This is a random string of numbers which does not contain any personal information about you, and we do not record your IP address.  This is sent to our reporting server each time you use Wipeout. This simply tells us that someone somewhere is using Wipeout, but we have absolutely no idea who you are or what you are doing.  If you prefer to, you can click here to de-activate it.

Like most other private browsers, Wipeout is not designed to obscure your identity to your internet service provider or web servers on the Internet. It does not prevent data, such as your IP address, from being sent to websites you visit.
